DeleteI'm a thirteen year old girl that absolutely hated reading, and that was because I could never find a book that pulled my interest so I ended up giving up... Later on my teacher tells me that I have to pick a book and read the entire book for extra credit and your books title pulled my interest. I read the first book and craved more wanting to know what happened next so I looked online to see if there was a second book thankfully there was because I have never craved to read a book in my whole entire life... Your books are great thank you for writing this amazing book and inspiring me to enjoy reading. I can't wait to see what else you have written! lastly will there be a third book? ReplyDeleteI think you are the most amazing and sadistic author I've ever read. I was crying at the end of the book, what is the point of her being alive if all she's doing is surviving? Without rice and baby? But then I realised there was a sequel and I was a bit more comforted and I hope that the next book will end in a more pleasing manner. And I also hope that Kay, Gareth and Rice won't get into trouble for helping her... The way she escaped, Dr.Reynolds can definitely tell her Mother the story he wanted to. And as for Dr.Reynolds... Please tell me he gets mutated/ killed y her or Them in the next book? And what about Baby? How does she survive without Amy???? But your apocalypse setting was amazing.. I just wished she could stay in her house with baby and you know, none of this happened... And I have no idea how she'll survive in Fort black... She did survive the Florae and I know she will survive fort black, but how without baby? Her Mother.. Is she going to be killed in the next book? And to think that the whole world was destroyed because of some lab boy's careless mistake... Well I'm done with my rant but overall this was a torturingly awesome book, can't wait for the sequel.

Will her mother be able to turn New Hope into a better place and find a vaccine or a cure without more crazy experiments? Will Baby remember Amy again? Will the world be back to normal or will they live forever between the Floraes? There were many questions left without answers and I believe whoever read and enjoyed these books have the same questions as me and would love a third book... I do believe there is potential for a third book.... WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!!

Hi i have read both your books and was literally left speechless. When i finished "In the After" i was ready to cry but then learned there was a second book ad finished it as well. ReplyDeleteI just finished reading your book, In The End. I randomly rented it from the local library (not knowing anything about it or about you), and found it to be truly amazing! Humorously, I didn't realize there was a first book before I was already over halfway through reading it. Let me just say, this book was so well written and developed that it honestly could have passed as a standalone book - something that is incredibly difficult to do in a series, in my opinion. So you have my utmost respect and admiration for that! Seriously, fantastic book! I will most certainly be buying it (and the first one as well. Haha. Which I cannot wait to begin reading).
With that being said, I just wanted to comment real fast on my agreement with what a few of the other fans above have been asking for. I really hope you do decide to continue the story and turn it into a trilogy. I believe there is still so much potential here that can be done, and honestly, would be somewhat disappointed if it were left the way it is now. I think, Heather (7 posts above mine), put it best in stating a number of questions we were left to ponder. So I truly do hope you decide to continue the story and publish at least one last book. =]
In any case, thank you for writing these at all. You are a very talented writer! And I love your take on the "post-apocalyptic" world and also agree that this book easily falls into the same category and most likely will obtain the same level of interest and popularity as such books as The Hunger Games Trilogy, The Divergent Series, The Maze Runner Series, The Mortal Instruments Series, etc.
(And I'll make sure to keep an eye out for a future movie or TV series as well. ;D As it is definitely good enough for that!)

ReplyDeleteI just finished In The After at 3am today. I got it from you at C2E2 a few weeks ago and now I have to read this book 800 more times and wish every day that I got In The End too. Every twist, every character that you built up to fit your purpose. Small things in Part 1 or 2 become big issues later on and everything you write to tie together and how you write the emotions of the people who live through After. Amazing truly astounding. I love Baby, I love her sisterly spirit and I think that Amy will be able to do anything to save her. On the edge of my seat with those two teaser chapters, can't wait to get the second book. I'm ordering it today!

Amy's adventures still excite me even after the 3 times I've read the series. I always hunger for more. If there is ever an addition to this amazing series, I would read it without a doubt. And I sure think that any further adventures with Amy would result into even more awesome readers. Thank you Demitria Lunetta, for making the best book I have ever read.

I have 135 7th graders reading this novel as the last thing we do this school year. They walk in every day and ask, "Are we reading today?" It is so cool! I have students who whipped through the book and are now doing challenge options like making "Guides to the After" or creating graphic novels. I would love to send you one graphic novel in particular. It is INCREDIBLE! If you ever get a wild hair and want to absolutely make some middle schoolers' day I would love it if we could set up something where you could send them a little message. Man, oh, man, it would be so cool! Oh, and thanks for having some pretty badass female characters for ALL of my students to adore!
