2012 Faves!

I read a lot of  great books in 2012, though I have to admit I read more 2013 ARCs than anything else. But now I’ve got an awesome new e-reader and I need some books to fill it up! So help me out…

What were your favorite books of 2012?

Here are a few of mine...

Incarnate (Newsoul, #1)A Million Suns (Across the Universe, #2)

Bitterblue (Graceling Realm, #3)Enclave (Razorland, #1)

  1. I've only read one of those I'm sorry to say. I love the cover of Bitterblue, I'm going to have to check that out. I see it's a sequel though, guess I should read the first one first.

    1. Cashore came out with Graceling first, then Fire was a companion, and then Bitterblue is the sequel to Graceling. Graceling was beyond amazing, so I don't have any doubt that Fire and Bitterblue will be just as fantastic!

    2. I loved the first two books, but they're really all "companion" books, so you don't even have to read them in order...although I would say you should because they're so awesome :)

  2. I LOVE the Across the Universe series by Beth Revis. Shades of Earth (#3) is sitting on my shelf right now and I can barely focus on getting work done knowing its so close!

Enclave by Ann Aguirre was fantastic. I really enjoyed reading about Deuce's journey and learning about her world. I recently traded for an ARC of Outpost (#2) in the series, and I'm very excited to jump back into the story!

As for books to fill your e-reader with... I really enjoy Caragh M. O'Brien's Birthmarked trilogy (Birthmarked, Prized, and Promised), I lovelovelove the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver (Delirium, Pandemonium, and Requiem - out soon), and The Maze Runner series by James Dashner (The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, The Death Cure, and The Kill Order). Those would be my suggestions to check out!!

    1. Thanks for the recs! I've heard great things about Delirium but somehow have not read it yet. I don't have Shades of Earth yet, but am totally getting it on Monday and am so excited!

  3. I've read so many!

Don't know if it's available as an ebook, but I picked up a copy of a National Geographic book recently, photographs of the American west, that was just stunning.
